Hello friends;
Today is Sunday, a day i usually send you messages, and today i was in school - manual therapy for the throat, voice, tongue tie, post-anesthesia, post-intubation, and post-surgery; also surprisingly, for tight shoulders that pull up and babies who can’t suckle; and the list goes on. It’s osteopathic work. This course bears repeating at least a dozen times, as does everything Dr Chikly creates; because i assure you - this was way too much to take in, let alone learn and master, in one day!
Dr Chikly is a genius, mystic, and innovator of the highest breed. He hooked me in 2006 Brain 1 class when i felt a twisted pituitary gland for the first time, then felt it unwind in my fingers.
(i spell that g-o-d dancing)
i may be light years from my teacher’s multi-dimensional perception and 3-minute-miracles, yet i’ve been given the keys to the holiest chamber and front row tickets to real-time neuro-regeneration in the brain!
i used to fly to Phoenix for courses all the time, and spent birthdays there with my illuminated community…but let’s not talk about those long-ago harrowing days when life was real and manual therapists touched and treated eachother to learn.
(oops, gotta run, here comes the swat team now because i burped the idea that your body can heal itself)
Shhhh, let’s keep typing and move on with this tale…
i love medicine in its pure, soulful form.
Not the standard allopathic drool that never asks the real physiological cause then cuts and poisons you to death. i mean REAL Medicine, the kind our ancient and distant ancestors learned directly from their relationships with Nature and Source.
Connections and relationships. Isn’t that really what we all want?
Medicine was broken.
This medicine, our medicine, the people’s medicine was hunted and shut down just before 1900, with the advent of the AMA. The pursuit rages on.
But truth is a wildfire flung free, scattering seeds; and the messages in mycelium cannot be stopped…
Cranial Osteopathy was originally the science of harmonizing life flow through the fluid pathways, fascia, organ systems, and cranial bones.
Cranial bones expand and relax in response to changing fluid pressures in the brain; and in this sense, the brain breathes. Osteopaths held a devout reverence for this sacred process. By observing embyological development, they witnessed that cerebrospinal fluid derives from amniotic fluid as the neural plate becomes the neuropore, our primitive spinal cord; and that in its absolute purity, cerebrospinal fluid reflects and carries the full life force of the divine.
These sacred waters constantly flush our body and brain; especially at night - unless the pathways are blocked. That’s where craniosacral therapy comes in. Water (lymph, cerebrospinal fluid, extracellular matrix, plasma, and blood) is our main ingredient; water is life.
Injuries and stresses constrict tributaries and channels in our body’s waters of life.
So we all need help.
The first cranial osteopaths and their medical progeny were quickly banned from mentioning “self-healing power” and forced to use pharmaceutical drugs.
Were they (and their brothers and sister naturopaths and homeopaths) to not comply, they were persecuted, publicly shamed, imprisoned, and de-licensed, never to work again.
…sounds a lot like now, huh?
A few did not comply, became outlaws, and spent the rest of their lives running state to state to try to do their real work.
…sounds a lot like now, huh?
Craniosacral Therapy rose from those ashes in the 80’s through Dr Upledger, his renowned institute, and his relentless will to spread this healing work worldwide, for laypeople and professionals alike.
…and that’s where the Chikly’s found me way back in 2006...and made an offer i still can’t refuse.
We too will rise from the dead, and put medicine back where it belongs - in our own hands, hearts, and sacred life fluids.
…hand to hand, soul to soul, restoring honor to the promise to do no harm…
Because truth is a wildfire flung free, scattering seeds; and the messages in mycelium cannot be stopped…
Fascia-nating 🤯🧠✨
thank you yolanda for reminding me how much i've loved Craniosacral treatments. i was having them regularly for awhile, a pretty long while back, then lost track of the practitioner who was awesome. i would go into that space where not awake/not asleep for many minutes at a time and my intuition told me that it was a sacred space where untold healing could happen in a very few minutes.
