I am close with both Alix and Denise (as friends) and missed their talks - trouble with the livestream, and came in towards the end of Brian's speech. I have been with Brian and Naomi before, in a more intimate setting and always find her to be brilliant as an author and speaker, and just as a community mingler too. She & I share an ancestry which we discussed joyfully and with regard to the reasons our families are no longer in Romania, among other things.
