Air pollution and its known health hazards have received plenty of attention over the last few decades, but overall, little has changed. The environment becomes more and more toxic, while neurodegenerative and autoimmune disease continue to rise exponentially.
Indoor air pollution was always given lip service as a culprit in causing allergies and disease, but people tend to ignore what they can’t directly see. Now that our culture has reached epidemic proportions of allergies, autism, and environmental sensitivities, more of the previously unrecognized causes of illness are being exposed for what they are.
Did you know, for example, that mold profileration is potentiated over 600X by 5G?
Water damaged buildings develop serious mold issues, which are exacerbated by the microwave radiation of 5G and beyond.
Sick Building Syndrome (SBS) is big business today.
Since most of us spend most of our time indoors, we are all at risk - and we have to consider both air quality and water damage; along with remediating EMF radiation and electrosmog in our homes.
Sick Building Syndrome is defined as:
“A medical condition where people in a building suffer from symptoms of illness or feel unwell for no apparent reason…
Sick building syndrome is a condition in which people develop symptoms of illness or become infected with chronic disease from the building in which they work or reside. The main identifying observation is an increased incidence of complaints of symptoms such as headache, eye, nose, and throat irritation, fatigue, dizziness, and nausea.”
NIH lists these common symptoms of SBS:
”Cough, chest pain, shortness of breath on mild exertion, edema, palpitations, nosebleeds, cancers, pregnancy problems and miscarriages. Extrinsic allergic alveolitis, Legionnaire's disease, humidifier fever, pneumonia and occupational asthma…
Humidifier fever is caused by breathing in water droplets from humidifiers heavily contaminated with microorganisms causing respiratory infections, asthma and extrinsic allergic alveolitis…The patient may have flu-like symptoms.”
Another NIH article states:
”SBS manifests as the complex spectrum of ill health symptoms, such as mucous membrane irritation (rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, sore throat, eye irritation), asthma symptoms (chest tightness, wheezing), neurotoxic effects ( a headache, fatigue, irritability), gastrointestinal disturbance, skin dryness, sensitivity to odours. These symptoms may appear among occupants in office buildings, schools, public buildings, hospitals, and recreational facilities…resolution of the illness also takes place within a short time after leaving the facility.”
Dr Klinghardt further explains the relationship between heavy metals and mold in perpetuating illness:
“Toxic metals harm the cells of the body whereas the invading microbes (including mold) thrive in a heavy metal environment. Research by Ludwig, Voll, and others in Germany and by Omura and myself here in the US, show that microbes tend to set up their housekeeping in those body compartments that have the highest pollution with toxic metals. The list of symptoms of mercury toxicity alone, published by DAMS (Dental Amalgam Support Group) includes virtually all illnesses known to humankind. Chronic fatigue, depression, and joint pains are the most common on the list. The body’s immune cells are incapacitated in those areas whereas the microbes multiply and thrive in an undisturbed way.”
CIRS: CHRONIC IMMUNE RESPONSE SYNDROME
It’s logical that Sick Building Syndrome would produce chronic illness in its inhabitants, and now we learn there is a name for this illness as well: CIRS, or Chronic Immune Response Syndrome. CIRS has been brought to light by the research and treatment protocols of Dr Richie Shoemaker and Dr Scott MacMahon, who note sustained cytokine storms, nervous system dysregulation, and mitochondrial dysfunction from chronic toxic exposures. Drs Shoemaker and MacMahon strongly attest to the neurodegenerative effects of Sick Building Syndrome and the urgent need for environmental remediation; and they apply biological medicine to the task of patient healing. i learned of them in this full and fascinating Jordan Peterson podcast.
Being highly sensitive, i was always hyper-aware of chemical smells, mold, dust, gas fumes, and other common household irritants.
We can’t possibly be well if we sit in a poisonous stew day and night…
Over the last 40 years, my personal approach has been to avoid places that make me sick, and to diligently remediate my home and work spaces - air, water, chemicals, parasites, mold, EMF’s. As a result, i’ve researched and applied an endless array of environmental solutions, with the result of creating a “Wellness Home,” (a term i first heard about from a Japanese company named Nikken).
In a recent article, i shared my evolving process of EMF remediation with my building biologist; and in several other previous articles, we explored detoxification as a crucial step to strong health. Next, in CREATING A WELLNESS HOME part two, i will share more of my top vetted solutions for making your home and office truly healthy places to be.
If you’d like personal help and support to work through this process, please contact me at omtara@quietmind.com. i can help you detox and rebuild.Quiet Mind Healing is the art and science of Regeneration. i teach how to heal the body and energy field naturally, and this includes our living environments as well.
such a crucial issue, thanks for writing about it Yolanda
