Nature's detritus supports the next cycle of growth; mankind's detritus does not.

Man has to take another look at themselves. However, due to ego, narcissism and other human conditions we will not. This why we are here when we are murdering nature.

i so "hear" you, but what does that actually mean? Who is included in your description and do you mean we are all murdering blindly?

Are we here not trying to look at ourselves?

i get ruffled by the proverbial "we", when i do not feel part of that. Please say a little more! We all (here on the stack at least) so want to turn this problem right!

Got you! I am saying that our human being brothers and sisters are currently like a lost flock. Our society right now seems to be in position of hopelessness. It can't seem to have the capability to fix anything. The government which now people have been trained to look to and seek out have abdicated in my assessment. How can what were called ethics and morals just have evaporated so quickly right before our eyes. Folks have what I call dead eyes. The fire is gone. It appears that folks are just going through the motion. Hope has been murdered and bludgeoned. The system is apparently not able to deal with that.

No quit in my game. Folks will either burn themselves down or they will realize that the game they are playing is a bad game. That is up to the individuals. This is the slow groove.

Thank you. Beautifully portrayed dear sister, Yolanda, your wisdom is a blessing. We are all culpable in creating waste. My perspective is what we are now re-discovering through a change in our collective consciousness is how we can mitigate waste. We are rediscovering our connection to Mother Earth, and in so doing, WE each one of us thus makes that mitigating process unfold by starting with "the man in the mirror" It begins with me, and as in all things on this plane, a continual work in progress ----- the less I create waste the less there is to mitigate. A careful consideration of choices to be made of what I buy and consume.

how beautifully said.

still, my heart longs for a lighter earth, i cannot leave HER in such a vile state...and i imagine our work with the land is guiding us. Even though we can't perfect this forgotten art of sacred relationship in one fell swoop, we are walking the right way...the pathway home...

Berda, there you are in the shadows just beyond that tall tree...

i have done trash pickup on forest trails, country roads, and at parks for years. i just replied to my dear friend Bryan a moment ago - "Still, my heart longs for a lighter earth, i cannot leave HER in that vile state, and surely working the land"...is guiding us and keeping us on the pathway home
